Less than 30% of Canadians received the Influenza Vaccine

In 2012, 28.9 percent of Canadians opted to receive the influenza vaccine, according to statistics Canada. More females than males chose to receive the vaccine,  a 7 percent higher rate. Among the provinces, Nova Scotia had the highest percentage of vaccine inhabitants rating at 42.6 percent and Quebec coming in last at 22.3 percent. This is a very low number of people who are taking control of their health. Generating higher vaccination rates can greatly help our society reduce the amount of diseases and infections that spread among us.
